Approaches & Modalities

First and foremost, I offer person-centered therapy. I am a social worker, which means that I view issues within a broader context of the world in which you live and other aspects that may influence how you show up for yourself and others. I also think humor is important. I don’t think therapy should be a last resort and I think we each have something to learn from therapy for ourselves, for others, and for our relationships.

I utilize an eclectic approach that includes many theories and models for treatment. I don’t believe therapy is a one-size-fits all sort of process. I borrow from psychodynamic approaches, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, solution-focused, The Gottman Method, Integrative Sex Therapy, and Emotions-Focused Therapy (EFT).

I serve LGBTQIA+ clientele, clients struggling with anxiety, individuals and couples experiencing issues related to opening up their relationship/poly journey, clients questioning their sexuality and identity, adults who were recently diagnosed with ADHD, foster parents, clients experiencing sexual issues, clients interested in goal-setting, adult children of narcissistic parents, and those experiencing issues with grief and loss.

My specialties include: LGBTQIA+, Anxiety, Adult ADHD, Gender Identity, Grief and Loss, Self-Expression, Alternative lifestyles, Transgender Issues, Sex and Sexuality, Kink, Polyamorous and Open Relationships, Trauma, Adoption and Foster Care Issues, Life Transitions, Aging Issues, Relationships, Stress, Communication issues, Divorce, Women's Issues, Attachment, Parenting Traumatized Children, Adult Children of Narcissists, and Existentialism and Meaning.
